Wim Michiels was honored to represent Proviron and the chemical SME’s of Flanders, Belgium and EU in general during the Strategic Dialogue on the Future of the Chemical Industry in Europe with Commission President, Ursula von der Leyen, Executive Vice President Stéphane Séjourné and Commissioner Jessika Roswall.
It is clear that our industry is the mother of all industries and fundamental for Europe’s future. Our EU chemical industry supports Europe’s ambitions, but we need to discuss how we achieve these. We cannot deliver on these goals if we lose our industrial base to other regions. We need actions urgently!
We thank the Commission President for her leadership and for recognising the importance of our industry. We look forward to continuing this constructive dialogue and to delivering on a Chemical Industry Action Plan by summer.
