老友记 | 桥连中欧 浙江&西弗兰德结好25周年

To commemoration the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and the EU, as well as the 25th anniversary of the friendship between Zhejiang Province and West Flanders Province in Belgium, the Zhejiang Daily and the Zhejiang International Communication Center collaborated with the Belgian media outlets Focus & WTV to produce an creative short video. 

Belgium is an important trade partner of China within the EU. The city of Bruges in the Flemish Province of West Flanders means “bridge” in Flemish. The Flemish Province of West Flanders is crisscrossed by rivers and dotted with bridges, while Zhejiang Province in China also boasts many scenic spots and legends related to bridges.

This creative short video, themed around “bridges” and titled” Old Friends, ” was produced through a collaborative effort between Chinese and Belgian media. It combines footage from Zhejiang Daily reporters who followed the governor of West Flanders Province on four visits to Zhejiang Province over three years, along with interview content provided by Belgian television stations. This marks the first time that Chinese and Belgian media have explored and achieved a joint production cooperation model.
