11 February 2026, Antwerp | On the eve of the informal European Council in Alden Biesen, essenscia – together with around 600 representatives of companies, industrial federations and European trade union confederations – called for swift and decisive emergency measures at an industry summit in Antwerp to strongly restore the competitiveness of the energy intensive industry.
“Two years after the Antwerp Declaration, this is the Antwerp Call to Action: Europe must act now.”
Proviron, as a member of CEFIC the European chemical sector federation, supports the call to European politics to take immediate and decisive action. Our CEO, Wim Michiels participated in the meeting to underline the urgency.
