Proviron has spearheaded groundbreaking research for the efficient production of premium value microalgae for applications in aquaculture, feed and cosmetics. 

In our search to promote our portfolio of microalgae-based products for aquaculture, we seek to recruit a sales manager to strengthen our Microalgae Innovations team. 

your job

  • Develop the sales for Proviron’s microalgae-based products for aquaculture in the field (oyster/shrimp/fish larviculture, hatchery and nursery feeds, …) 
  • Prospect actively, generate leads, establish relationships with new customers.
  • Visit and support customers with your expert knowledge mainly in Europe. 
  • Organize and supervise internal and external product development trials in collaboration with internal and external experts. 
  • Edit and publish technical marketing material such as brochures, leaflets, website content and product catalogues. 
  • Set up and follow up marketing campaigns on the e-commerce platforms of Google, Facebook, LinkedIn and the likes. 
  • Keep a close watch on the latest trends and development opportunities in the field at trade fairs, conferences and seminars, and translate these into business. 
  • You will report to the Commercial Director and interact closely with the knowledgeable multidisciplinary microalgae team in Hemiksem, Belgium. 

your profile

  • Owner of a degree in Aquaculture or equivalent by experience. 
  • Excellent proficiency in English and French (knowledge of Dutch welcome). Strong communication skills are a must. 
  • Motivated sales hunter who enjoys winning the sale through strong relationship-building. 
  • Prepared to travel frequently. 
  • At least 3 years of experience in the aquaculture industry. 
  • Knowledge on microalgae and their benefits for larviculture and feed formulation earns bonus points. 
  • More than average digital skills and keen to learn on this subject. 
  • Experience in digital marketing, managing e-commerce platforms, conversion optimization and tools like Google Analytics is a definite plus. 
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, eager to take initiative and able to work independently while collaborating cross-functionally. 
  • You like working in a “no nonsense” culture within a dynamic, flat structured company.
