Objectives 2008 and Perspectives
Together with the management team we are working on three top objectives for 2008.
First and foremost our objective is to have zero lost time accidents. Each accident is one too many. We expect our employees to adhere to procedures even more strictly. Line managers are required to make safety even more part of their leadership actions.
Economically we must reconcile operational excellence with cost effectiveness. That is our second top objective for 2008. We stand for top quality and top quantity in an extremely competitive market. We owe that reconciliation objective to ourselves and it is a given as well as a mission for all employees.
We perceive more sharply the future direction of the company. Generally speaking it is in renewable materials. This also includes our third top objective for 2008: launch at least one product or service in this area to prepare for the future. There are a number of “green” niche markets emerging, such as specific plasticisers. The environment and energy are more than ever before areas begging for solutions. Proviron offers customers a wide range of creative and simple solutions. The company will focus on environmentally friendly esters, plasticisers and SVS derivatives and will continue to be a key player in these areas.
We intend to streamline existing products and grow in new promising lines of business. The biodiesel project may act as one of the driving forces. It causes relatively limited extra fixed costs, works on present energy and has the sufficient amount of critical mass. Because of the biodiesel project, we are now also known as a processor of renewable materials. This reputation is recognised through requests for similar products by new partners, and is a factor reinforcing our company image.
I would like to conclude by thanking all our employees for their efforts. I ask them to keep this up in 2008. Together we will accomplish many more fine results.
